Protecting the wood before it rots

Wood trim around basement doors and windows takes a beating from ground-level moisture, splash-back, and years of freeze-thaw cycles. Once the paint seal breaks, bare wood starts soaking up water and rot sets in fast, often hidden until the trim is soft or crumbling. Wrapping exposed wood trim in aluminum coil stock creates a permanent, weatherproof barrier that locks moisture out for good, cuts out the yearly repainting and caulking, and protects the structural wood underneath so it doesn’t have to be replaced down the road. It’s a small upgrade now that prevents a much bigger repair later.
